Young Mister Regulus Black is that you? I hear you’re supposed to be an intelligent chap, aren’t you? Might I offer you a nice cup of tea so you can rest that big brain of yours. I'll grab some of my favourite pictures of Mr Tibbles to show you. He's been so silly today, almost made me break my leg a second time. Could you imagine? Ha! He's such a cheeky one, but he's very sharp - oh don't you second guess 'im, Mister Regulus. He'll be unravelling that big brain of yours like yarn if you aren't on your toes! ![](https://i.imgur.com/pnVAn2s.jpg) And of course, then we 'have Snowy. A real treasure, she is. Given birth to almost this 'ere entire residence! My little white warrior. She looks a little bit like you, don't you think, son? Very pale, lad, you might need to try some of my special cake. Could give you some colour, and maybe a little meat on your bones. ![](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR5l5us0d3T7xKiyi2F7GJJVVnkBuGivUblTw&usqp=CAU) Now and of course we can't mention Snowy without talking about Mr Paws! Longtime lovers they are, and a downright dirty dog...or I suppose cat...or I suppose a half-kneazle...he is! Now isn't he a handsome chap? Don't you think, Regulus? ![](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Eftknl0WsAAXaVO.jpg) Oh! And they wouldn't call me Arabella Figg if I didn't show you this silly little picture of Tufty! ![]() Now she might look like a skunk of sorts, but let me tell you she smells about as lovely as her grandparents did. Which, let me tell you Regulus, was quite a famous scent among the kneazle population. A scent to be reckoned with! Was it tea, that I offered you earlier? Let me fetch it for you before I show you a few more photos

Good evening, Ms Arabella. I am most certainly appreciative of your hospitality. The cats are looking as cheerful and spritely as ever- as are you, I might add.
It's been quite a day. Ran into a pixie outbreak on the way here. I don't need to tell you what an inconvenience those scoundrels can be. What has been occupying your attention today?

Pixies in Little Whinging? Whatever next?! Next you're going to tell me you're a Death Eater too, I bet! Imagine that, such a lovely boy like you in service to you-know-who. A ridiculous thought.
Well now, earlier today I went shopping for some tins of cat food, I've got a special dish to prepare for the kitties tonight. You can already see the kitties are in a state, they're very attuned to food auras, I think it's the kneazel in 'em. Would you pass me some of that cabbage from the corner there, Regulus?
Now while you do that, how about you tell me a bit about yourself and what your business is here in Little Whinging?

And I must say... a very aromatic cabbage it is indeed. Ideal for various stews, I would imagine. It also makes for a somewhat appealing ornament. Whispers around the alleyways suggest that a wizard in Romania is so daring as to produce an incense from cabbage near identical to this one. Which explains my venturing here to Surrey. I found this rumour so intriguing that I simply had to investigate further. After all, you are regarded as among the most knowledgeable cabbage connoisseurs in all of England and so I set course for your address right away to ask you, Ms. Figg if these suggestions of a cabbage incense are factual.
Now, aren't these cats just delightful. Boisterous little things! I can see that you've most certainly been looking after them well

Ahhhh! You want in on the secrets of cabbage incense trade! Well, my boy, you've come to the right woman. Now, just so you know...once you deal in cabbages, you can never lose the cabbage high, I'd say. Very astute of you to come to me, Mister Regulus. Now let me tell you... now lean in nice and close boy ...never know who is truly listening... [smacks you over the head] Ha-ha-ha!
You poor, daft, foolish lad! Clever Mister Regulus fell for the oldest trick in the book. Unfortunately Mister Regulus it seems that these whispering alley wizards have been whispering rumours of cabbage incense for as long as the world 'as been flat. First rule of growing up in the magical world, is to not believe everything you hear. Every word you hear uttered from a wizard's mouth has twice as much reason to be mistrusted. Think for ourselves. Ha! Cabbage incense, imagine that. Perhaps, you could preserve your pride by trying to make some of this cabbage incense, yourself.
Now Regulus, in other news, when would be a good time for us to complete that there challenge together later. I'll be free tonight, young sir, or any time tomorrow most likely. Hows about yourself?

Those wizards truly had me convinced. Upon further reflection, they did seem to be quite unable to provide specific details of the process of cabbage incense production. They could do nothing more than rave about the Romanian fellow and then one of them with a pointy chin pointed me in your direction, Arabella. I feel quite the fool.
I am happy to do the challenge within the next hour if you are available, or tomorrow morning would be fine also. Shall we devise a plan before commencing?

Well, best not pay any mind to fellows with pointy chins any more then, Mister Black - yourself included, for the time being. Should save yourself some embarrassment.
Tonight, I will not be as free as I promised. Perhaps the morning would suit me better. Around 10am AEST (Albus Expecto Severus Time), perhaps? Will be tottering in and out throughout the night to finish preparing this cumbersome meal for these oh so demanding kitties. My goodness they are so spoilt by me. Regulus could you help me with spoon feeding Mr Tibbles throughout tonight? It would do a boy of your limited mental capacities some good, perhaps.
I must say. in regards to this challenge though, I am not a woman of keen eye. Sometimes I do wonder why Dumbledore ever wanted me as part of the Order... Perhaps, if Mister Regulus has any mind for such games, he would do well to give Old Figg a good plan of action.

Sound advice if I've ever heard some, as I am still recovering from my errant judgement. I will be prepared to begin our challenge at 10am. That suits me nicely. In the meantime, I am more than happy to tend to Mr Tibbles. For it is the least I can do to repay your generous hospitality. Regarding a plan for tomorrow, I expect the first round to be relatively simple- which I doubt will pose too much difficulty. Beyond that, I think it comes down to a preference for our approach. Would we rather prioritise speed, or accuracy?
If speed is the preference, we simply count quickly and only do so once. Without conferring, then jump from image to image. While if accuracy is the priority, we accept a slower time. By virtue of us recounting each item. Then conferring if in doubt. Using this approach, I have confidence that we will have a good chance at choosing correctly each round.
I would personally prefer the accuracy path, which I think will be more effective. However if you would rather prioritise speed, I would be happy to go with that option also

Thank you so much for feeding Mr Tibbles last night. Spoke to 'im this morning, said he received the grandest of treatments. Found this silly little picture of Mr Tibbles, thought you might like to have it to remember your little time with him. ![](https://i.imgur.com/0h1ba1e.png) I will be perfectly happy with trying to take the path of accuracy, Regulus. Might dip that chiselled jaw of yours in a pot of ink and use it as a fine point pen to help me mark off what I've already counted

Mr Tiddles was a joy last night. I appreciate the picture and will treasure it always. You are very kind, Ms Figg.
Speaking of the challenge, I am interested in hearing about your thoughts on the points which we can earn. Do you anticipate that they will have much of an impact?

Personally, lad, unless we think it important to prevent others from being able to identify one another, I'm not certain it'll be too damning to come up short in house points. It seems to me that having ones memories returned could serve both advantages to some pairing or disadvantages to others - for some things are best left unknown. However, I would not mind the idea of having my memories returned, if it possible
Do we know whether the house points will be public knowledge?

I have the same view. I am in two minds about accruing maximum points. It seems like a bit of a double edged sword, of sorts. While I can see some benefits, I feel as though a pair having their memories restored will place significant spotlight on the individuals in question.
I feel as though winners of this challenge will be revealed, but an unsure as to whether points will be public knowledge throughout the game. I can certainly see some benefit of gathering points, but I feel as though they may be able to be more effectively used in another way - rather than saving for our memories being restored.

Perhaps the House Point system will be as frivolous as they've always been, just a silly excuse for empty rivalries and a bit of competition. Though, I am of similar mind that there may be greater use to this points down the line, and if that may be the case I think it worth pursuing them - just in case. Same reason I crossbreed so many kneazles with cats, you never know when your kitties might be of service. Better have as many as possible - just in case.
How're you feeling then lad? Should we get started soon, then? Give it our best shot?
