Peter is letting you off with a warning, but that doesn't mean you won't be punished. Deep down, you know that you deserve to be punished. Don’t you, Yaxley?
I want you to write, 'I must not send Missives during Magical Council ', as many times as you need for the message to sink in. You'll know.

I'm really sorry Peter. I'm honestly kind of surprised you haven't just kicked me yet, you'd be well within your rights to do so.
When the ad for this went up I tried to make sure I wouldn't have too many other obligations on my plate. My "day job", as it were, is freelance game dev and one of the games I'm working on frequently needs to pause for months at a time, so I tried to plan my work schedule to make this and the next few weeks quiet so I'd be able to properly focus on this. Unfortunately, my other game set an unexpected, unmovable, and stressful deadline for the end of this week about a week back. I hoped I'd be able to juggle both? The game I'm working on takes a few minutes to start and stop on my crappy laptop so it's not like I don't have time to pop in frequently, so long as I kept my posts short. But it's become extremely obvious that isn't the case. By my count I'm up to 5+ mistakes of varying severity? Actually breaking the rules once, very nearly breaking the rules once, and at least three times I either misread or forgot what was said to me by other players. This has probably been unfortunately painful to watch.
I'm definitely not quitting or giving up; to my understanding my work deadline is really unmovable so one way or another I'll be a more functional human being in a couple days, once I've recovered from 10+ hours of computer work at a time. If I'm allowed to survive that long in this game despite my point-blank idiocy I'll be pretty happy about it, because I'm having a lot of fun. But if I do seriously fuck up again (I'm really going to try not to but I've said that like three times already, I'm not going to pretend it's impossible), I at least want you to know it's not because I'm fucking about or not taking this seriously as I can, it's just the rest of my life took a sudden shift for the busy and honestly I feel like I'm kind of buckling under it.

In all Siriusness, please don't beat yourself up over this. Mistakes happen, and we understand that, since it's still early in the game. Yes there are rules in place, but you're not walking on eggshells here. We know you didn't do anything maliciously and trust this was an honest mistake, so please don't think we're angry or hold it against you; we just need to treat things like this seriously to be sure that they won't happen again. But please don't stress, alright? The last thing we want is for this to become a stressor and not a source of fun, that is the intention at the end of the day! Good luck with your game though, that's quite exciting. I don't dabble in Muggle technology myself, but it seems like an intense but rewarding process! Hope it all goes smoothly for you and you can have a nice break at the end of it. ![:<3](http://i.imgur.com/L3NpwEv.gif)

We're definitely not kicking you out over any of this (so far ![:P](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png) ), and believe me you've made fewer mistakes than I have over the last few days - I just have the benefit of a magical edit button and some Memory Charms. The important thing is that once you know something is off limits, you don't do it again. Though if you want to punish yourself Dobby-style by rereading the Rules we won't stop you.

Thanks hosts, I appreciate it. Honestly I did re-read the rules yesterday between builds but even at the time nothing stuck, I can tell I'm just firing at way below normal cognitive capacity, probably due to a mix of stress and lack of sleep. I managed to hyperfocus on the last challenge because probability and game theory is more interesting than code but other than that I'm kind of a wreck. Even doing the last challenge was pretty rough, I made a handful of poor decisions during it. Waiting a minute for an Idol clue was kind of silly, given I already had most of them. Waiting two minutes for an extra Owl Post that I'm now realizing I have no plans to use was a bit extra dumb, too.

Okay, I have the worst question in the world.
For the immunity idol question about Puffs; what are the rules for wrong answers and what is the format for putting an answer up? My reading is that strictly by the book, as long as I get one right answer every hour I still get it even if those answers are sandwiched between mountains of wrong things, but that seems so against the spirit of the challenge as to be unfair.

First, I can't confirm that I know what you're talking about.
Second, if we were to set you any kind of task, we'd give you all the information you need to complete it. And we'd never judge it based on extra details or constraints you don't know about.

Welp, seeing the number of rules you had to remind folks to follow makes me feel a bit better than I wasn't the only person fucking things up at least.
I mean, I fucked up misnaming my Hidden Immunity Idol/Item thread, but that's fine, that's a me problem not a game problem, no on else has to suffer for my stupidity.
