Welcome to the Owlery! Here you can send and receive letters from other players who are too far away to contact via a Patronus Missive. Here's how it works: - Once every day, you may write one letter to a player of your choice from the opposing Side. These letters will be delivered with breakfast, as is traditional. - Due to an unfortunate exclusivity clause in our Floo Contracts, you can never send a letter to your Pureblood vs Order partner. - You also cannot send your letters to the same player twice in a row, because Owls get easily bored of repeating the same flight paths. - There is a weight limit for all letters, as many of our Owls are small and overworked. Therefore letters which are longer than 2000 characters shall not be delivered. You can check the length of your letter at wordcounter.net/character-count which uses some strange Muggle magic to approximate parchment length and weight. - Once you post a letter in this thread, we will begin processing it immediately and accept no other letter in its place for the current round. Not even if you spot a typo. The deadline for Owl Post is exactly 12 hours apart from the Challenge deadlines. To send a letter you must post it in this thread before 8:30am AEST, and the Owls will deliver any letters addressed to you soon afterward (within an hour, if not immediately). Because much of magical law and order would collapse without the creatures' cooperation, the Owls have more bargaining power than any union of Muggle postmen and have demanded ORG weekends off - so there shall be no Owl Post on Friday or Saturday. The Owls have also been on an extended strike vacation since late last year, so the starting date for Owl Post in The ORG of the Phoenix has been set for this Tuesday 3 May. Thus, your first Owl Post letters must be posted in this thread before 8:30am AEST this Tuesday. Please use the following format when you post your letters: Note that the date, sender and recipient at the beginning of the letter will not count toward the character limit. If you have any questions about how the Owl Post system works, the Ministers shall gladly answer them for you here. Otherwise, we hope you enjoy the full service of the Owl Post system each day. And do take care not to upset any of the Owls!

Peter Pettigrew Is there any chance I get to know who sent the first owl post if they didn’t give their name?

Tuesday, 3rd of May To: Rodolphus Lestrange From: Nymphadora Tonks
Why hey there Rodolphus. Thanks for your message <3 Things are going great on the other side! Loving Grimauld place right now, and our team will defs put up a good fight. In all honesty there’s not much to spill… I’m sure I’ll have more to spill when we talk again later. But how’s Malfoy Manor? I’m sure you lot will be up to a lot of mischief and schemes. I mean what else could you expect from a group of 9 naughty villains living in one house.
Also, I have to say, I’m loving your partner Fleur right now! She has nothing to pass on, but I’d like to let you know she’s doing great over here. We’re getting on like a house on fire!! How’s Hedwig’s killer going? I bet he’s quite the character. Anyway, I look forward to your reply, whenever that is.
XoXo
Tonks

A flock of owls fly overhead, and not a single one lands in front of you. Still hopeful, you wait and wait... but eventually every owls departs and still you have nothing. Then on the way out of the Great Hall, a scrap of parchment on the floor catches your eye...

To: Oliver Wood
Dear Oliver. I will keep this message short and simple. If we lose again, and you are in danger of being voted out soon, choose to switch at the next magical council… with Regulus.

Dear Lily
I am also missing you HEAPS right now. I miss chatting with both you and Oliver. What a time it was back then, when everything was almost too easy. Now everything is a hot flying mess bahahah. We decided to vote out Dung as we felt it could be useful to get to know the new Death Eaters, and we also hoped it would influence them to keep you guys around for a bit if we did the same.
Fleur has told me about this actually, and it has led to a divide between the Death Eaters over here, which was great for us. Me and Fleur are looking quite comfy right now, so I don’t believe we are in danger, although things move very quickly over here.
Unfortunately, the big wrench in everyone’s plan is the switch that occurred. We tried to vote out Pyrites (Blindsiding moody and partially Diggle), to snip off an under the radar player who isn’t useful as a shield and would coast along, on top of being Moody’s partner. Kingsley leaving is also a disaster for you, as you lost the buffer I’m sure you desperately need. The best advice I can give is this:
We make a deal with our respective sides. Both sides are holding on to a valuable ally of the other right now. So, if you are in trouble, tell your allies we will keep Lucius (A powerful ally of theirs) if they keep you. I will prove this to them if I say a particular phrase , as confirmation, during the challenge, but will need to be prompted by you first so I know you need help.
If you mention, the Daily Prophet in ANY posts in the episode 7 challenge thread, I will take that as a call for help. I will then proceed to say the exact phrase… “The department of mysteries is a place to be.” This will hopefully signal that we are willing to cooperate. In any case, I’m also hopeful you can convince HK/Igor to vote out Pyrites again?
Anyhow, I hope to chat soon.
Xoxo, Tonks

Congratulations once again on reaching the Merge! We were ready to shut down Owl Post now that there is only one Side and everyone is well within reach of your Patronus Missives, but apparently we still have more time remaining on our contract with the Owls. And now they're eager to keep working? With consistent hours? ![::)](http://images.proboards.com/new/rolleyes.gif) We don't pretend to understand how their birdbrains work. But we don't have much of a choice in the matter. Therefore, will be repurposing our Owleries. From now on, you may send Owl Post each morning to the Gallery of portraits lurking in the walls, and to the Cancelled players gathered in St Mungos. They can't influence your Game at all, but they're also interested in it. And while they can't read your regular Diary Journal entries, this is your chance to entertain them directly with the inside scoop... or not; it's entirely up to you. The only restriction is that unlike your relative freedom on this sub-board, your letter cannot include anything relating to your ID, or your PBvO partner's. We guarantee that nothing you send in Owl Post will get back to any players still in the Game, or to the Wizengamot. The character limit is being halved to a 1000 character maximum, but the deadline to submit Owl Post is still 8:30am, starting again on Sunday. The owls are pleased with this arrangement, and while your participation is by no means compulsory, we hope that you will also continue to enjoy their services. Doing so regularly is in the interests of both our collective entertainment and the Ministry's legal liability.
