All of your Challenges in The ORG of the Phoenix will be representing and celebrating a different aspect of Harry Potter fandom - and today's is no exception. If the Day 0 Challenge was about fans honing their own love for the series, this one stands in for the next logical step: meeting other fans of the series, and immediately descending into the glorious depths of what ignorant Muggles might call 'geeking out' as you compare opinions on all things Harry Potter and make snap judgments about the others' fan credentials. If you have not yet had the privilege of experiencing this... well buckle up, because here it comes!
In this Challenge you and your Pureblood vs Order partner will be playing a version of the Match Game, in which you must try to guess your partner's answers on a variety of different topics. Some questions will be be about either yourself or your partner, and these questions will be asked twice - the answers given about each of you will then be compared to determine whether they match. Other questions will only be asked once, and the answers given by both partners will be compared to see whether they match.
For instance, if Snape and Umbridge were competing together, and the first three questions were:
1. Do you consider yourself Good or Evil?
2. Do you consider your partner Good or Evil?
3. Is Rita Skeeter Good or Evil?
2. Do you consider your partner Good or Evil?
3. Is Rita Skeeter Good or Evil?
And Snape submitted these answers:
Questions 1 and 2 would be considered paired questions, so the answers about Snape would be compared, and the answers about Umbridge would be compared. As both partners agreed that Snape is Good, the answers match and they would gain one point. However, as there was disagreement about whether Umbridge is Good, those answers do not match, and no point is gained.
Question 3 is not a paired question. Here Snape and Umbridge would indeed gain a point, as their answers for it both match. (Rita Skeeter would like me to point out here that actual correctness is irrelevant to this Challenge - all that matters is whether or not the partners' answers match.)
In the actual Challenge, you will be presented with 20 questions, and you will have 10 minutes to submit answers for them all, in a numbered list like in the examples above. You can answer them all in separate posts, all in one post, or anything in between - just be aware that once you post an answer to a given question, the answer is considered locked in and you may not change your mind about it in a later post (even if you try to do so, we will only accept the first answer given for that question number).
To begin playing the Challenge, you will need to add yourself to the Member Group 'Matchic Making'. This can be done by navigating to your Profile, then the Groups tab. The moment you click the 'Join Group' button, your time for the Challenge will begin. You should then return immediately to the home page of this board, where you will see a new subforum conjured into existence below the Hogwarts Grounds board - inside you will find the list of 20 questions. You should create a Challenge thread inside your
Note that we will not accept any answers submitted more than 10 minutes after you click the 'Join Group' button. And that unlike the timestamp on a regular post, the moment at which you press that button will be recorded in the forum's Security Log, visible to the Ministers but not to you. Do not press this button until you are ready to begin and we recommend that you also start a timer of your own simultaneously with Joining the Member Group, so that you can be sure to submit all your answers before running out of time. Almost half of you went overtime on the Day 0 Challenge, so please be careful to do this one right!
The Pureblood vs Order pairing to score the most matches (and in the event of a tie for the highest score, the pair who submits all their answers in the shortest combined time) will both win Individual Immunity for the first Round of this Game. This is because...
both Sides will be attending Magical Councils tomorrow night
and the first two players will be voted out from The ORG of the Phoenix.
and the first two players will be voted out from The ORG of the Phoenix.
Note that due to the Switch Charm, we may only lose one player from the Game, or none at all. But there will still be a separate Magical Council for each Side, and each will vote out their first Side Buddy.
One last thing - the PBvO pairings with the top two scores will each gain 10 House Points as a reward. Once again, any ties to determine the second-placed pair will be broken by time.
You must complete this Challenge by 8:30pm AEST (board time) tomorrow (Tuesday).
You may not discuss anything about the Challenge with any other player until after this deadline has passed.

The Challenge results will be posted as soon as possible after the deadline. Players will be allowed to send Patronus Missives up until 9:15pm AEST, when the Magical Councils will begin. Every player on both tribes is expected to submit both a Vote and a Switch/Flick Charm decision in the relevant threads by the 9:30pm AEST deadline.
If you have any questions about this Challenge (or about the Magical Council process), please ask the Ministers in this thread or in your private
