In honour of your new chance to build new bonds on your new Sides, today we're exploring a fan community which takes that building aspect rather literally: the builders of virtual Wizarding Worlds and the players who visit them. For instance, the famous Minecraft maps which bring magical landmarks to life:

All of these images come from The Floo Network's open-world Harry Potter Minecraft maps, but builders the world over have also created some stunning works... and today you get the chance to join their ranks! Your entire Side will need to work on creating a magical world of your own, one builder at a time.
When you begin the Challenge, you will receive a set of minecraft blocks and some clear instructions about what exactly you need to build. You will have ten minutes to work on your build, adding five blocks at a time in every new post. To do this you will need to use an image editing program (Paint, Photoshop, or anything in between) to add the blocks, then save and upload the image (using Imgur or any other image hosting site which does not reveal your ID) before posting it in your Challenge thread.
For instance, if you were given this block inventory and asked to build one of the flags from atop the Quidditch stands in the image above, you would need to add the blocks five at a time, like so:

A few things to note based on this example:
- You can use the blocks provided in your inventory as many times as you wish, and you do not need to use all of them.
- Builds need to be created from the bottom up. You can assume that magic keeps the block stuck together and renders stability immaterial, but the first block does need to be placed at the bottom of the image and every other block added must either connect to one already in place, or be placed somewhere else along the bottom of the image.
- Even though our example images have a transparent background this isn't mandatory, and we will accept builds with a generic white or black backdrop as well. There is also no set size for the overall image dimensions. You can make it taller or wider as you go, as this becomes necessary.
- As always, Images which do not show properly in your post will not count.
And some important differences between this example and the actual Challenge:
- Your instructions will be more complex and will hold more room for creativity. You won't just be copying something.
- Your entire Side will be working sequentially on the same building project! This means that most of you will begin building right from where the player before you left off, and the final creation will be the result of over an hour's combined work.
- Each of you will begin with different block inventories and different instructions. Some general instructions will be given to all players, but others will only be given to one player.
The first player to begin the Challenge from your Side should join the Member Group 'First Builder'. They will then see a sub-board with their instructions and block inventory. They will have fifteen minutes (from joining the Member Group) to build as much as they can in their private Challenge thread in their
The second player to begin the Challenge from your Side will join the Member Group 'Second Builder'. They'll follow exactly the same process, except that they will need to copy the First Builder's image from the master thread to use as their starting point before using their given inventory to follow their instructions and build on. And so on for the rest of the players - third builder, fourth, etc. The only exception is that the last one to play the Challenge should not post their final image in the master thread.
Adding more than five blocks at a time (i.e. skipping an image) will be penalised, as will placing blocks after your fifteen minutes have elapsed, and placing blocks you were not given in your Inventory. For every penalty accrued by your Side, we will deem your final player to have finished their build two posts earlier than they intended to. For instance, if your Side had five penalties over the course of the Challenge, the final 10 posts (so the final 50 blocks) placed onto your Side's build will not count.
Once all players have completed the Challenge and penalties are factored in, we will score your Side's build based on how many of the criteria in the building instructions have been met. The Side whose build fulfills more instructions will win Immunity. The losing side will attend Magical Council and vote out their first Side Buddy tomorrow night. In the event of a tie, the Side Prefect who placed the most blocks over the course of their 15-minute build will win the Challenge for their Side. We'll also be awarding 5 House Points to anyone whose entire set of criteria is fulfilled in their Side's final build.
One last thing! To track the playing order, we'll be making a designated Challenge Discussion Thread on your Side Boards. Even within that thread, you may not discuss any mechanics of the Challenge or any strategies for it - only the order in which your Side will compete. The Department of Mysteries will need to choose a Spare; whoever is selected may not use the thread from the moment that determination is made.
You must all complete this Challenge by 8:30pm AEST tomorrow.
Do not discuss the Challenge outside of the designated Discussion Thread.
