Well that was certainly an eventful night! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) And the week has only just begun! 1. What was the state of the Grimauld Place dynamics when they disbanded, and what do you think would have happened next had you remained together? 2. How do you feel about each of your original Side Buddies, after a week together? Were you anticipating a Swap? 3. But now you're in a new Side with a new combination of players - congratulations on reaching this milestone! ![;D](http://i.imgur.com/FVUId1j.png) . What are your first reactions? Who are you excited to get to know, and who will you be approaching with trepidation? 4. How are you looking to secure your future on your new Side? Do you think you will be in danger? 5. Who on the other Side do you think could run into trouble? Is there anyone there you hope to be (re)united with in a future phase of the game? 6. How do you think the impact of twists like Switch and Flick, Owl Post, and Hidden Immunity Items will change now that you're in new Sides?

Peter Pettigrew ruling clarification - if someone gets voted out with an HII in their possession but a switching spell takes place, do they switch with the HII?

Yes. You'd only lose the Item if you were eliminated from the Game.

I think I covered most of this in my diary entry from Episode 4, Sunday edition, but it was getting to be an absolute shit show, and a swap was not only forseen by myself, it was sorely needed.
My only regret is Oliver, in his infinite wisdom, decided to drop a grenade in our newly formed alliance chat with Diggs, JUST BEFORE THE SWAP, so I didn't even get the chance to clear the air.
I trust the guy but he's such a loose cannon
Anyway, the swap probably worked out as best I could have hoped for. I was on the same Side as my number 1 (as unreliable as he is), and my ride or die partner (and his number 1). We're technically in the minority as Order members (up in the numbers, down in the swap, story of my ORG life) but as long as us 4 stick together, we should be able to get majority and control this Side.
Now, Crouch and I are the only pair on this side (and Moody and Pyrites are the only pair on the other side), so that places a MASSIVE target on our backs. So we're gonna have to try as much as possible to hold this 4 together.
The good thing is Igor/Hedwig's Killer have reason to be wary of Yaxley so hopefully there's no danger of Yaxley flipping. And they must absolutely hate Malfoy right now so Oliver has even less of a reason to flip.
Crouchy is very wary of the singles banding together like they did in the original Blood vs Water, but I think it's a big mistake to obsess about that. If there's a pair in the game and they're not allied with you - i.e. Hedwig's Killer + Tonks, and you think it's unlikely that you'll be able to form a couples alliance with them, then you don't want to keep them - they're not TWO votes against you
The other side has 5 Order members to 3 Deatheaters and I imagine Fleur/Tonks will team up to get revenge on Malfoy... in which case Oliver playing switch will allow us to have 5 on this side...

Oh nope, my mind switched back on.
If Hedwig's Killer and Igor were good at reading the room, they must realise that it's a pretty precarious swap that they've ended up in. I wonder if either of them would be tempted to play the Switch to SAVE Malfoy and end up on a more favourable Side.
That would give the Malfoy/Yaxley/Crouch/Oliver/me alliance a total of 5 in a Side of 7 and leave us in a relatively secure position. The only way it could backfire on us is if we lose the next 3 challenges and have to turn on each other. Although in that case, I imagine they'd try to boot Yaxley to keep more pairs around going into the merge

With regards to switching, I’m surprised that NO ONE has used it yet… I’ve been using switch every round just in case something happens to Crouchy and I would like to think he’s been doing the same for me
I guess not everyone is playing to the BvW theme the same way. Fleur not lifting a finger to save Lestrange from drowning seems en pointe for her. She cultivated allies so quickly that each individual one is expendable. Which I get because I’ve been there in the past
I wonder if people would have played differently if this was open ID within the pairs
Crouchy and I are probably the closest to a mutual ID reveal (and will probably get there first if we go to Council a few times during this swap) but it’ll prob make the least difference to our gameplay? I’m already completely honest with him and if anything, finding out his ID can only make me trust him less because I would then colour my perception of crouch with my knowledge of their reputation and how I’ve seen them play in other games. The main benefit of a mutual id reveal for me was the connection to the Floo Network but were already swapped onto the same Side and I doubt there’s another swap before the merge so that’s not even useful

Peter Pettigrew out of curiosity, are we banned from talking about anything related to the challenge? e.g. are we forbidden from even talking about throwing a challenge once it's been announced? is the window for discussing challenge throwing only between 2030 and 2130?

You can talk about the concept of throwing a Challenge at any point, so long as you don't discuss any specifics of that that would be done for a Challenge that is still ongoing.
So 'I think we should lose this' is fine, but 'I think we should post three blocks at a time and pretend we misunderstood the task' would be a problem.
