Congratulations on reaching the Merge! Everyone at least pretending to be on the same Side is obviously cause for a weekend full of

There is a long history of Harry Potter fans coming together at all kinds of wonderful conventions, celebrating their love for the series and basking in the presence of other dedicated fans. The magic of our Wizarding World has also been an inspiration for some fans eager to apply it to their own Muggle milestones: birthdays, weddings, baby showers and more, even funerals!
Which makes it only fitting that your first Challenge as a Merged Side will take place amidst our own uniquely HP-ORG themed celebrations! And just as every fan, host or guest has different expectations when attending HP-themed events, all of you will be coming into this Merge - and this Challenge - with wildly different agendas.
To begin this Challenge you must create a thread in The Leaky Cauldron sub-forum. The thread can be about anything you like, but you must start one of your own. (You are of course welcome to begin as many threads as you like, as it is your space to use - but you will need to make at least one to qualify for this Challenge.)
Once you have created a thread in The Leaky Cauldron, the Ministers will post a unique To Do List in your private
For instance, if Minerva's To Do List included the following Secret Task:
- Receive at least 100 'likes' for your posts.
Note that all the Secret Tasks must be completed entirely within The Leaky Cauldron sub-forum, between now and the Challenge deadline. So in the above example, any likes Minerva received for posts made in this thread would not count, nor would any belated likes for posts made before this Challenge was posted.
The Ministers also reserve the right to deem Secret Tasks unfulfilled if you try to be Challenge-breakingly sneaky with them. For instance, if Minerva needed to post a particularly funny Harry Potter meme without receiving a single like, and she waited until 5 seconds before the deadline to post it, we would find this to go against the spirit of the Challenge and therefore deem her to have failed the Secret Task. (We can also promise that none of the actual Secret Tasks will involve earning 'likes'; we've used them as examples instead so that nobody feels the need to be stingy with them all weekend. Thank us later.)
The player who successfully completes the most Secret Tasks from their To Do List before the deadline will win Individual Immunity for Sunday night's Magical Council. Their partner for Paired Immunity will also win Individual Immunity, and while both will still attend Magical Council and cast votes of their own, neither of them will be eligible to receive votes. There is a tiebreaker mechanism in place should more than one player achieve the highest score, but we're keeping the specifics under wraps for now so as not to spoil anything about the Challenge.
On that note: even though the Secret Tasks will play out on a publicly viewable board, you should be careful not to discuss the Challenge's secrets until it is over. You may not discuss the Challenge in PMs. You may not even mention it outside of The Leaky Cauldron sub-forum. And you may never reveal or confirm anything about the Secret Tasks on your To Do List to any other player. Doing so would undermine the entire concept of the Challenge and result in immediate disqualification.
Even though each of you will be receiving unique Secret Tasks, we want to reassure you that every possible step has been taken to keep this Challenge fair. The Ministers have worked hard to create a long list including dozens of potential Secret Tasks, assessed their difficulty and carefully divided them up to create twelve To Do Lists which are all considered equally difficult overall. These lists were then randomly ordered from A though L, and will be assigned to you in alphabetical order: the first player to create a thread in The Leaky Cauldron will receive To Do List A, the second will receive To Do List B, and so on. In the interest of full transparency, we will repost all twelve lists once the Challenge is over, and will make the original thread containing the lists (timestamped before this Challenge began) visible to All once the Game is over, along with the Paired Immunity draws.
This Challenge will end at 8:30pm AEST on Sunday.
Do not discuss any of the Secret Tasks until after this deadline.
Do not discuss any of the Secret Tasks until after this deadline.
The Challenge results will be posted as quickly as possible after the deadline. You may send Patronus Missives up until Magical Council begins at 9:15pm AEST. Votes are due at 9:30pm AEST. Please make sure to read the thread about Paired Immunity carefully, and use it as extra incentive to leave pre-votes!
To help keep the secrets, we're not going to invite or answer any questions in this thread. If you do have any, please ask in you private Challenge thread.
