Welcome to The ORG of the Phoenix Regulus Black! The Ministry has weighed your wand and can now gladly return it, hoping that with it in hand you may do many great things here! As you fight for the fate of the Wizarding World, you may use this Diary Journal board to record your experiences, thoughts, ideas, notes, strategies, reactions or any number of other things as you see fit. It is a private place which nobody other than yourself and the Ministers can see (until the game is over), and any posts made here will not count toward the total post count on your profile. You should also use this area to play all of your Challenges, and to privately ask any questions you have for the Ministers. Speaking of which - we'll also be popping in at least once every episode to ask you questions and to pick your brain. Here are some to start you off: 1. First Impressions! What do you think of your partner so far? How is Day 0 going? 2. How do you think beginning this Game with a partner will impact the way it plays out? How important is the chance to earn a mutual ID reveal? 3. What do you expect will happen on Sunday night? What else do you think might lie ahead in The ORG of the Phoenix? 4. Do you have any goals for yourself in this game? Any hopes for how your journey here may play out?

Hey gang The board looks great! Not sure my HP knowledge will be up to scratch for the game. I had to look up Figg just now as I had no recollection of who she was. I barely know who Regulus is... all I remember is he's Sirius's brother and is the mysterious R.A.B. I appreciate the HP world, but haven't really spent time studying and haven't even read the novels, sadly. Which I am aware will place me in the minority in this season.
I'm keen to orchestrate at least one vote this game. I hope to play a level headed game.... but we'll see how that goes I also am considering the merits of throwing this challenge by sneakily changing my member group now and then swapping back before Figg notices. I .... probably am not going to do it, but who knows? I don't necessarily see any benefit in an ID reveal for my game. At a minimum, it puts a target on both partner's back without any real benefit being gained... As far as I can see, that's the only incentive for winning this one. Anyway, food for thought

I'm excited to watch you work here ![:<3](http://i.imgur.com/L3NpwEv.gif) and certainly look forward to that one vote you get around to orchestrating. Also don't worry too much about not having read the books. The intent of the theme is to veer away from them into the fandom and I've quite intently avoided opening a single one of them ever since I decided to host this. How are you clicking with Figg now that you've had a chance to interact?

Thank you Peter, I appreciate the reassurance. I think Figg is going to be a strong player and may well go on to be dominant pre-merge. But given the nature of things, I do think that it's a bit cagey right now unfortunately. I invented cabbage incense as a bit of random comedy, but to her credit Figg ran with it and remained in character. I haven't played a game, or even lurked in a very long time so it feels like I'm still finding my feet. I'm trying to disguise my lack of familiarity with the theme, given Figg's clear fandom. I mean, it's a reasonable approach to take strategically, but more than that; I don't want to detract from her immersion and from the overall experience by not attempting to make it l like I'm making an effort. Especially when there's no real time pressure.
I'm not immune from the cagey opening myself and admittedly have not been as forthcoming as I expected. But that may well come s we still have 2 days to warm into it. As the old adage goes, you can't win a game on day 1 (day 0 in this case), but you can sure lose the game. I'm glad to report that I haven't lost the game yet, so things are going fine. Not sure how I'll fare with 9 Side members and doing the entire game on my phone, but that's to consider for another day.
Also I do enjoy the 'respond quickly' modification for posting, there are lots of little touches which make this a little more theme adjacent. There's clearly been lots of thought put into this

Any points I earn I am going to aim to use them as leverage. As currency, in a way. There will be people who are all in for points and so I can capitalise on this

Are there any hosts out there who are good with technology?
I've realised I don't know how to post images from my phone. Which might be a concern. Just was wondering how to copy image url from a phone as there seems to be no way to do that like there is from a computer. Any and all help would be much appreciated!

I detest Muggle technology, but I have a book on it somewhere that could help. Is it an iPhone you're using Regulus Black?

Thank you Ms Dolores!
I have been using a Nokia for the game so far. but my work phone is an iPhone, which I am able to use if necessary. If you only have a book about iPhones, or Android phones, I'd be grateful for any tips at all

The specifics will depend on what phone/browser combination you're using. But if you press, highlight or hold down the image there should either be an option to copy the image address, or at least to open the image in a new tab which will have the image link as the URL. If it's going to be a regular thing, might also be worth saving the ![]() tags in a notes app of some kind for easy comp/pasting and then you can keep sticking different image addresses in between the tags.

My book specialises in iPhones (hideous things), so I can only help you there. Perhaps it could translate to other phones as well? Also, this is just one way of doing things. There might be an easier way but this is how I'd do it if I were a muggle The best way to do this would be to create an IMG tag manually yourself. So, copy the following into a note on the notes app: [*IMG]XXX[*/IMG] (only remove the * ) ![]() Then you'll need the image URL. For that you hold your finger down on the image until a few options pop up underneath it (Share, add to photos, copy). Touch 'Copy" and that should copy the link. Then go back to your notes app, and paste the link into the IMG tag, replacing the 'XXX' with the link. Then, copy the tags with the link and paste them into a post here. Here is an image for you to practice with, let me know if it works. ![](https://i.imgur.com/yVujWMn.jpg)

Sorry, another instruction: after copying the image, before posting it in the notes app: paste it into the safari search bar (otherwise, the image itself is pasted into notes and not the link itself). Then copy it from the safari search bar manually.
It's a pretty annoying process but it should work!

When you paste it in the notes app, make sure there are no spaces between the link. So maybe when you copy it to a post here, check there are no spaces first.

I'm fairly sure the issue is that you're linking to the URL of web page that hosts the image, rather than the URL of the image itself. You may need to do an extra round of copying the image link before pasting it in.
