Thank you Umbridge!! You are the best- I had a wand after all. And now I have three! Well, if these have any value- surely they must if they can be gifted. Oh, maybe it's a secret House Points earner

Hey, Dolores Umbridge do I receive house points for Wood's wand? Because if my maths is correct, by 8:30am, I should snare the 100 when I send my Post. I would gladly accept the glory that accompanies the glorious century bestowed on me tomorrow morning. It would be a thing of prestige indeed

Points to cover Storyline - I wasn't in power for a lot of the game - From becoming the first single, I played an independent game floating around- forming relationships, but pushing out these relationships in front of me. They got taken out before me. Every single time.
- Big play of pulling out the clutch final 4 immunity. Made the decision which ensured I would get to the final 2. Forcing out the tightest pair of the game.
- Identified Malfoy as the most connected and biggest player early on. Aligned with him, but then dispensed the mystery vote to get him spinning. The idea being that as Malfoy felt I was with him, that it would consolidate my position with him, but also set off his paranoia. Didn't mention it until Malfoy brought it up. At this point, he revealed who he didn't trust by suggesting who he thought it was (HK) I agreed and played up this paranoia to further create distance between them.
-I repeated this tactic once the jury started when I told Malfoy that someone told me he was gunning for me, but I didn't name who. This helped spread some more seeds of doubt prior to the split councils. Afterwards, I was able to use my gratitude to really be honest and upfront with Malfoy about the events of that day, which I was. But he again fell into my plan of revealing who he distrusted (Diggle), by asking me if it was Diggle that told me I was gunning for him. Again, I agreed and played this up- Diggle in fact had not told me anything about this. But meanwhile, I'd been pushing Malfoy's name to Diggle. The clever thing was though, that I kept Malfoy around through the Pyrites vote when Diggle was set on doing Malfoy. I wanted him around, because I felt he'd go before me. By fanning these flames from both sides, it opened up some cracks in the game which I was able to sneak into. After the split council I felt like I had the edge over Malfoy, but I still wanted him on my side. I decided to flip on the revote to take him out, as I knew that he was more volatile than Wood. So I wanted to cut Malfoy before he could sell me out.

So I am just wondering if quoted message exerpts are a no-no at final council?

It would depend on what you were trying to quote.
PMs and Owl Post, no can do.
Posts everyone can see on the board? Sure.
Something you prepared and drafted in your confessional specifically for the Final Magical Council? Fine, but you might as well just copy/paste and repost rather than quote.
Quotes from your earlier confessionals - hard no if they're from hosts. Technically okay if you're quoting yourself, but because it's so easy to fake/doctor quotes and their timestamps it's probably better to just rephrase whatever it was.

Thanks Pete, I'm just thinking through ways to present a case. The quote route was an approach which would have been more evidence based- but I'm fine just going down another path instead

This game has been a blur. I've been online way less than I'd have liked, but I think that ended up helping me slide through. I was still able to outmaneuver people. I had a few pinch points throughout, but I only really felt like I was on the way out at the split council.
An underrated mistake Barty made which sealed his fate was at 5 when we were talking about immunity. He revealed that his worst outcome would have been being forced to choose between Yax and Lily for the vote. I kept that under my hat, but that 100% revealed that he was closer with all of the 4 than anyone was to each other. I pieced it together with his strategy reveal when he told me that he had been building up the profiles of Diggle and Malfoy to use as shields and that he knew Lily was bad at challenges. His plan was to go to 3 with them, have Yax win the challenge and cut Lily- thus washing his hands of the vote. By identifying that, I was able to knock off Barty at the opportune time and execute his strategy better than he was able to. If he can see what I did and respects being beaten like I hope he can, I should be a good shot at getting his vote.
